As a Behavior Specialist, you will provide behavior management of students using Crisis Prevention Intervention in conjunction with teachers, teacher aides and residential staff.
Latham provides a paid two-week Orientation program for all new employees upon hire. Candidates with a high school diploma/ GED and are new to the human services field are encouraged to apply! High School diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are all required for this position. Must have strong therapeutic behavior management skills and exhibit ambulatory ability sufficient to physically intervene in instances of extreme behavior that might jeopardize the safety of students and staff. $17.80 per hour.
Fluent English speaking and writing skills, empathy and the ability to listen, good time management skills and professional appearance and demeanor are all required for this position.
**Weekend differential!!** for applicable weekend hours.
34 hours: Sun 8a-10p, Mon, Tues 1p-11p
40 hours: Wed, Thurs, Fri 1p-10p, Sat 8a-9p
32 hours: Sun 9a-11p, Mon, Tues 2p-11p
32 hours: Thurs, Fri 2p-11p, Sat 8a-10p
