The University of Nebraska at Omaha is seeking a
Head Athletic Trainer
The Athletic Trainer, working directly with the team physician and the Associate Athletic Director for Performance, will work closely with outside team physicians, extended sports medicine staff, and strength and conditioning staff to provide quality care for student athletes participating in intercollegiate athletics through management of all aspects of injury/illness prevention, recognition, evaluation, management, treatment, rehabilitation. In addition, the athletic trainer will assist other athletic trainers with coverage of the athletic training room, develop and implement standard operating procedures, document injuries, provide coverage of home and away practices and games, and handle various administrative duties as assigned.
· Bachelor degree in athletic training or related field.
· One to three years’ experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer providing sports medicine coverage.
· BOC certification in athletic training
· Eligibility for license in the state of Nebraska.
Salary Information: $52,000-$56,000/year
