Intern – Software Engineer – Bothell, WA – Summer 2022
We welcome individuals who are currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree to join Philips as a Software Engineer Intern in our Bothell, WA location for a 3 – 6+ month long internship to play a role in creating our next generation of ultrasound products.

This intern position will support North America signal path software engineers by engaging in prototyping and testing activities related to real-time imaging applications, signal processing, beamforming, and advanced imaging algorithms.
Work with the best engineers in medical ultrasound and be part of a high functioning team. You will be making a positive difference each and every day by developing ultrasound products that are helping to save lives all around the world.
You are responsible for
·Working under the direction of a senior engineer, you will design, implement and/or test ultrasound software.
·These tasks will encompass a broad range of software development activities providing you the opportunity to learn about successful deployment of the software components in an exciting customer-oriented engineering environment.
·Development will be completed in object-oriented C++.
·Performs, as a skilled worker on a number of tasks in a professional way.
·Determines, based upon own understanding/technical knowledge, how best to approach the task and how to solve abnormalities.
·Analyses abnormalities that occur within own working area and reasons based upon technical knowledge, where the cause lies and remedies it.
·Completes work with a limited degree of supervision.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
·Currently enrolled pursuing a BS or MS with a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent
·Software development experience which may include internship and/or co-op experience
·Knowledge of and/or experience with modern object-oriented programming languages (e.g. C++), design and coding
·Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
·Strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges
·Self-motivated individual with good organizational and time management skills
