Purpose: An internship integrates a student’s academic studies with work experience in employer organizations. Positions in the intern program fulfill TVA’s critical needs and are available in such disciplines as engineering, computer science, energy efficiency, environmental activities, finance and business administration.
Accountabilities: This is the entry level for professional work. Performs assignments designed to develop professional knowledge, skills and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying related tasks.
- Be enrolled and attending fulltime in an accredited two-year technical or community college or an accredited four-year college or university.
- Four-year programs must have completed a minimum of 30 hours of coursework at an accredited college or university. Two-year technical degree programs, must have completed a minimum of 12 hours of coursework at an accredited technical or community college.
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Be a U.S. citizen or meet the requirements outlined in TVA’s Citizenship Policy
