The United States Probation Office in the District of Oregon is focused on promoting justice, reducing risk to the community, and providing opportunities for positive change. We are currently seeking applicants for Probation Technicians in our Portland, Oregon office. This position provides a great introduction to work in a U.S. Federal Courthouse, including the U.S. Probation Office, the U.S. Pretrial Services Office, and exposure to other jobs available in the Federal Judiciary. Get your foot in the door with this excellent entry level position!

Probation Technicians provide clerical and operational support duties such as inputting data, generating and reviewing reports, scanning, typing, filing, answering phones, greeting visitors, and urinalysis collection. Male gender candidates are sought because one of the duties of the job will be collection of urine specimens from male gender clients.

Pay starts at $19.27 per hour. This position is classified at a CL 23 ($40,076 – $65,122 annual salary), depending on education and work experience.
