Victory Junction is currently seeking Adventure Program Counselors for our summer camp programs. The adventure area at Victory Junction includes a climbing tower, zipline and swing. This position requires energetic, adventurous, and safety conscious individuals. Adventure Program Counselors are responsible for communicating with and overseeing campers and family members during their experience to ensure an unforgettable and safe experience. This is an active outdoor position that not only involves communicating with campers and their families for safety and guidance, but also daily course inspections. Training will be provided. Must be available to start on May 25th.

Adventure staff will actively participate in activities and camper/family assistance when not in their designated program area.

Duties include but not limited to:

Practice and enforce all camp safety regulations and emergency procedures in regards to the adventure area.

Attend regular trainings and staff meetings.

Abide by all camp policies.

Responsible for the health and well-being of self and campers.

Perform all other duties and roles assigned by program staff.

Perform various maintenance duties to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our adventure areas. We will also require performance and documentation of thorough daily inspections of the course and safety equipment.

Maintain positive relationships with campers, families and staff.

Contribute to and foster an environment of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

The ability to physically and mentally assist in program needs throughout the day.

Adventure Program Counselors will be required to regularly lift and/or move 75+ pounds in some circumstances.

Job Type: Temporary

Salary: $300.00 per week

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:

All Victory Junction staff members are required to have had the Covid-19 Vaccine among other health related requirements. Masks may be required in some situations.

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)
