Early Careers: Law & Compliance Intern
Aon invites high-reaching rising seniors to join our 2024 Summer Internship Program within the Law & Compliance Team.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Chicago, IL office.

What the day will look like
You will have the opportunity to be exposed to and learn the essentials of law and compliance within a multinational multiservice company by working on a variety of assignments during your internship, focusing on Business Law and Privacy Law, under the supervision of attorneys.
- Draft contract templates
- Write a privacy awareness article
- Review marketing materials
- Distil complex procedures into easy-to-use checklists or guides
- Data manipulation and reporting based on data incident records in EthicsPoint
- Research current laws on a variety of business law topics
- Gain hands on experience in contract reviews and negotiations and pre-litigation resolution
- Many social and educational participation / listen and learn opportunities
- Other projects as deemed required
- Accurate data entry and attention to detail
- Maintaining quality controls and checking work for accuracy;
- Escalating, as required, complex/difficult issues to the appropriate attorney

- Strong PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and internet tools
Qualifications:
- Rising seniors graduating between December 2024 – June 2025
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in one of the following areas is preferred: Pre-Law, Business, Information Privacy, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, English, Communications, Political Science, Criminal Justice or equivalent years of industry experience.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

The salary for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $23.50 per hour. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
Aon offers a benefits package for temporary and seasonal employees who will work 20 or more hours per week including: medical, dental, and vision insurance at the employee’s expense, critical illness insurance, 10 Company holidays per calendar year (paid, if eligible), paid sick leave as provided under state and local law, and a 401(k) savings plan with employer contributions. Eligibility for benefits are governed by the applicable plan documents and policies.
