Hospitality Intern Mission:
The Hospitality Intern will support the Domaine Serene Clubhouse by providing a world-class hospitality experience to our current and future club members. The candidate for this role should be able to work independently and with a team. This is a great opportunity for exposure to the world of hospitality through the wine industry, and the intern will work closely with a cross-functional group, including Guest Services, Events, Will Call, and Hospitality Management.
Hospitality Roles and Responsibilities:
- Understand the company vision, core strategies, and core values and demonstrate an effective mindset and ability to provide world-class service & hospitality
- Showcase the ability to service all guests from various vantage points, including Hospitality Support, Guest Services Support, Will Call & Event Specialist
- Establish weekly check-ins with Managers to understand the business needs and proper flow
- Maintain strong organization, problem solving, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.
- Take ownership for the timely and accurate completion of all tasks assigned.
- Be self-guided and self-motivated.
- Focus on Continuous Improvement, especially as it relates to process.
Hospitality Support –
- Demonstrate the ability to provide service
- Perform job duties including but not limited to –
- Delivering food items to tables and describe items in broad detail
- Clean, restock, and reset all service areas and tables for reservations as needed
- Assist in glass polishing and dish washing when necessary
- Perform job duties including but not limited to –
Guest Services Support –
- Demonstrate the ability to respond to guest reservation requests
- Perform job duties including but not limited to –
- Answering emails and phone calls on an as-needed basis
- Seat guests as they arrive for reservations
- Effectively communicate the status of tables and work with the Guest Services Team to create a cohesive guest experience with world-class service in mind
- Perform job duties including but not limited to –
Will Call –
- Demonstrate the ability to fulfill wine orders in an efficient and timely fashion
- Perform job duties including but not limited to –
- Check the reservation list and reference it against the will call list to stage orders needed for pick-up
- Fulfill live orders as they are received in the will call area, and bundle them with will call orders when necessary, to deliver them to the guests’ vehicle
- Maintain a fully stocked and organized area to best service the guests wine needs and the needs of the Clubhouse service floor
- Perform job duties including but not limited to –
Winery Event Specialist –
- Provide organization, logistics, set-up, and execution of world-class events in a luxury-brand environment to enhance club membership engagement and retention
- Preform job duties including but not limited to –
- Working with the Senior Event Sales Manager, assist in the creation and distribution of BEO’s for all on-site events
- Fill in as needed on the day of events to ensure proper flow and service and bring a can-do attitude to execute at the highest level
- Participate in post-event meetings to better understand ways to improve and continue to enhance the experience at all events for the season
- Actively promote the sale of Domaine Serene wines, club membership, & merchandise
