Wildlife Center of the North Coast in Astoria, Oregon is seeking a passionate person who is excited to work with youth outdoors. The Camp Coordinator will help develop curriculum and consistency within the summer camp program.
Camp Dates: July 8-12, July 15-19, July 22-26; Part-time, temporary position. Approximately 60-75 hours.
Compensation: $17+/hr DOE
Wildlife Center of the North Coast’s summer day camp works with 1st-8th grade students in an outdoor setting, teaching a range of ecological and environmental concepts, leading hikes, and games, and exploring connections to the outdoors. The Camp Coordinator has flexibility and autonomy in curriculum and delivery.
Requirements:
• Interest in working with children.
• Ability to work and travel outdoors on foot.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Experience as an educator preferred, but not required.
