JOB SUMMARY: The Extended Day Inclusion Instructor will work 1:1 with assigned student with higher needs. Inclusion staff collaborate with SUN Site Supervisor and Extended Day Coordinator to ensure that student is included in after school programs and that the student’s needs are being met appropriately. This is a temporary, part time (13-15 hours/week) position, from 3pm-4:30 pm Mon-Thur. The start date is 10/23/2023 and ends on 12/8/2023.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Develop lesson plans, monitor student progress and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of their student.
*Collaborate with student’s day time teacher to ensure that strategies implemented are cohesive.
*Act as a positive role-model for students.
*Participate and implement support program safety to ensure students are in a safe environment.
INCIDENTAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Classroom support and engagement with other students in program.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
*Experience working with students with special or higher needs. Ability to differentiate curriculum based on abilities and skill level.
*Experience working with school-aged children from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
*Desire and ability to work with children to ensure an enriching, positive, and safe classroom setting.
*Ability to effectively work within a strength-based, integrated youth support service delivery system.
*Ability to document work continually and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
*Possess strong organizational and time-management skills and ability to prioritize and complete multiple and varied tasks;
*Sensitivity and ability to relate to people from diverse lifestyles, socioeconomic levels, and cultures;
*Willingness to work as a team member and support the mission and goals of Impact NW.
*Must be able to complete and pass an Oregon Background check including fingerprinting prior to start date.

*Ability to provide trauma-informed care.
