Game Day Operations Lead Intern
As a critical member of our team, the Game Day Operations Intern will oversee all that goes into making a game day for Midlakes United excellent. Working hours will be spread across the summer, ebbing, and flowing around games, which will require the most output. This role will report to the Director of Operations and serve as the point person for all things game day related. This role is based in Bellevue, WA.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Manage a large group of volunteers leading up to game day as well as during game day, along with three supporting game day interns
· Ticketing software management
· Concession and food vendor coordination
· Game day set-up and teardown
· Fan engagement
· Provide ideas, feedback, and general upward management to Club leadership on ways to improve the game day experience throughout the season
Basic Qualifications:
· A passion for soccer and community
· Strong academic record
· Comfort with a startup environment
· Natural problem solver and quick thinker
· Reliable transportation for events, such as match day
· Must possess at least two of the following:
· Experience leading or taking initiative
· Customer service experience
· Experience working in a team environment
· Sales, account management, or project management experience
· Experience in an office setting and/or retail store
Ideal Qualifications:
· Ability to communicate effectively by phone and email with external and internal team members
· Demonstrates poise, maturity, and resilience with internal and external audiences
· Attention to detail and ability to empathize with the fan experience
· Proven experience managing multiple, competing priorities; demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks and activities efficiently and according to importance
· Ability to take initiative on projects and see them through to completion
· Prior experience in athletic departments or other similar environments

· The hired candidate will work May 1 – Aug 6th, 2024, for the Club with an estimate of 10-15 hours of work per week, though this range may change as the season goes on.
· Attendance for home games at Bellevue College is mandatory to qualify for the role. Home game dates are May 3, May 11, May 28, May 31, June 2, June 14, June 23, June 21, June 25, June 28, and July 14 (with the possibility for additional matches during playoffs on the weekends of July 21, July 28, and August 3).
