Legal Internship – Summer 2024-pontentially extended until graduation
The Legal Intern will primarily work under the supervision of an Associate General Counsel and
other experienced legal staff and attorneys. The supervising Associate General Counsel handles (and the Legal Intern will be exposed to) matters related to international government contracts, US government contracts, ethics and compliance, the company’s global supply chain and US distributor network, among others.
YOUR IMPACT
- Review and provide analysis on defense and commercial contracts, including but not limited to non-disclosure agreements, commercial leases, long term supply agreements, services agreements, distributor agreements, consultant agreements, and sales representative agreements
- Coordinate projects as assigned. It is expected that the Legal Intern will be exposed to almost all matters handled by the supervising Associate General Counsel
- Assist with legal research work
- Perform day-to-day administrative activities to support our legal staff
- All other duties or projects as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Student must be a law school student pursuing a JD degree
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater. Strong research and writing skills preferred
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite required
- Willing to travel or temporarily relocate to Oshkosh, Wisconsin for the summer to be on-site with Associate General Counsel and Segment General Counsel. After successful summer, telecommute (Arlington, Virginia or Oshkosh, Wisconsin) or fully remote arrangement is possible
TIME COMMITMENT
- 35-40 hours during the summer; expected to be 20 hours during the academic year
COMPENSATION
- 1L ($23 per hour); 2L ($26 per hour)
