Requirements
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
· Develop and distribute workouts for the OGCC Masters Swim Team.
· Run weekly Masters Swim Team practices.
· Provide instruction and coaching to improve swimming technique.
· Create and execute Team Events (preseason meetings, Masters meets, team social events and post season meetings).
· Assist in expanding the swim program.
· Assist in development of the OGCC brand within the swim programs.
· Attend assigned events as an OGCC Swim team representative.
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· Degree in kinesiology, sports medicine, or another relevant field or equivalent experience is preferred.
· Lifeguard certification or willingness to acquire upon hiring.
· Masters Swim Coach certification preferred.
· Strong leadership experience and interpersonal skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Experience in swim instruction and coaching.
· Minimum one year of swim coaching experience, Masters-level preferred.
· Ability to teach proper competitive swimming techniques.
· Ability to communicate professionally and courteously verbally and in writing.
· Ability to put stressed members and co-workers at ease.
· Ability to problem solve on the spot and take ownership for problem resolution.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy in all dealings.
· Excellent customer service skills.
