Position Summary
Santa Catalina School, a nationally recognized PreK-12 independent, Catholic school in Monterey, California seeks seasonal summer camp counselors for Summer at Santa Catalina. Summer at Santa Catalina serves 300 plus girls through day and resident summer camp programming from June to August. This position requires a positive role model who can build relationships with campers and their families, lead various games, and oversee free play and activities.
The Camp Photographer and Videographer reports to the Director of Summer at Santa Catalina, and works with camp staff and administration to photograph and video the camper experience.

Description
This position directly supports the customer service and marketing of Summer at Santa Catalina by providing regular camp photo updates, blogging/vlogging on social media, compiling camp photos to be used for future marketing materials, and assisting with other camp duties as needed.
Essential Responsibilities
- Photograph and video the camper experience, including classes, field trips, evening programs, and other activities as scheduled
- Edit and organize photos and videos as needed
- Upload approved photos to camp photo site
- Create social media posts highlighting camp experience during the summer season
- Compile end of session photo slideshows
- Compile and organize photos and videos for future marketing use
- Manage camper behavior individually and in groups positively and consistently
- Assist in administrative needs to support program activities as needed
- Learn, follow, and explain camp rules, regulations, policies, and daily practices regarding the Summer at Santa Catalina program operation
- Help maintain and organize program supplies and spaces

Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position does not supervise other employees
Working Conditions and Compensation
- Ability to work actively with campers of varying ages, abilities, and backgrounds
- Ability to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, standing, bending over, crouching, sitting, reaching, driving (a cart) for extended periods, and needing to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a school environment with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and people
- Salary: $16-17/hour
