Do you like spending time outside and are you interested in working with kids? Do you have lived experience working and/or living in Latinx communities? Do you speak Spanish, or are you learning Spanish? The Nature Programs Internship might be the perfect summer job for you! This paid position, for Spanish-speaking youth ages 16-20, is a part of the Tualatin Hills Nature Center’s Nature Experiences and Workforce Training (NEWT) Program, partially funded through a Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District grant.
The fine print: You must be sixteen years old to apply, you must love working with kids and you must be able to work outside, rain or shine.
Interns are asked to commit to 80-200 hours over the summer, between June 7 – August 23, 2004. Schedules are flexible and are typically scheduled Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Essential Job Functions:
Nature Program Internship: Nature Program Interns are responsible for assisting with the planning and instruction of nature camp and nature program activities for summer participants. Activities include, but are not limited to: leading group games, activities, singing songs, arts and crafts, and participating in nature hikes.
Pay Rate Range: $17.65-18.18 per hour.
Candidates with bilingual abilities will be eligible for a 3% bilingual pay incentive when they are assigned to community engagement programs.
